Understanding Religious Life
Below are valuable resources for Roman Catholics interested in exploring Catholic vocations and finding Religious Orders for both men and women. Each Order has its unique apostolates and charisms. Don't hesitate to reach out to several and engage with the vocation director or directress. Many of these Orders also offer discernment programs, including Zoom meetings, where you can learn more about their mission and community.
What should I do if I think I am called to Religious Life?
Strengthen your prayer life and devotion to our Blessed Mother, while exploring Catholic vocations. Read the Bible, Church documents, and literary works from the Saints. Consider fasting from dating to deepen your focus. Get to know various Religious Orders, understand what they do, and how they live. Serve others and actively participate in discernment programs or retreats to help guide your journey. Lastly, make it a point to receive the Sacraments often.
